Senior Program Manager, Infrastructure Modernization
Xcelocloud (XC) | Remote (U.S.-based) | Full-Time
About the Role
Xcelocloud (XC) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead end-to-end delivery
of high-visibility Infrastructure Modernization Programs spanning global
architecture transformation, large-scale infrastructure modernization, enterprise
identity, applications, and design.
This is a senior, client-facing leadership role with full accountability for program
governance, executive communication, cross-workstream coordination, timeline
management, and delivery outcomes. The successful candidate will serve as the
client’s primary escalation point and XC’s most senior delivery lead throughout
the engagement.
This is not a coordination-only role. We are looking for a program leader who can
operate confidently with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders,
manage delivery in a fixed-price environment, and keep a multi-workstream
modernization effort on track.
What You’ll Lead
This program manager role includes managing multiple coordinated
workstreams running in phased overlap. Each of the workstreams are supported
by project managers, your role is critical to the program success.
Key Responsibilities
Program Governance & Executive Leadership
Own overall delivery across all three workstreams
Lead monthly executive briefings with the client CIO and executive sponsor
Facilitate quarterly steering committee reviews
Maintain and actively manage the program RAID log
Escalate material risks, timeline issues, and dependency conflicts with
clear recommendations
Cross-Workstream Coordination
Build and maintain the integrated master program timeline
Coordinate dependencies across backup, server, and identity workstreams
Lead weekly syncs with workstream project managers
Ensure critical milestones stay aligned
Manage sequencing, handoffs, and operational readiness across parallel
phases
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary client-facing program lead
Build strong relationships with executive and operational stakeholders
Track and drive client-side commitments including access provisioning,
change control, and response SLAs
Surface blockers early and drive resolution before they become escalations
Delivery Oversight & Financial Management
Monitor weekly hours burn and budget posture by workstream
Manage risk buffer consumption and escalate when necessary
Own milestone readiness and billing gate coordination
Lead change request management for scope, access, and timeline impacts
Reporting & Documentation
Deliver polished weekly status reports, monthly executive decks, and
quarterly steering materials
Oversee completion of major program deliverables, including runbooks,
assessment documents, disposition matrices, and compliance artifacts
Ensure as-built documentation and closeout materials are complete and
transitioned appropriately
Required Qualifications
Program Leadership
7+ years of progressive program/project management experience in
enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud, or managed services
Proven success leading multi-workstream, multi-million-dollar programs
Experience managing delivery against hard contractual, regulatory, or end-
of-support deadlines
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
Technical Fluency
You do not need to be hands-on engineering every solution, but you must be
technically credible across:
Windows Server infrastructure
Backup and recovery platforms, especially Veeam
Active Directory / identity environments, including multi-forest complexity
Cloud infrastructure, especially Azure and AWS
Cybersecurity and resilience concepts, including immutable backup and
unsupported OS risk
Tooling Experience
Hands-on experience with:
Microsoft Project
ITSM
Salesforce or similar CRM / engagement tracking platform
Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint)
Executive Presence
Experience serving as the primary client interface for complex enterprise
programs
Strong facilitation skills with both technical teams and executive
stakeholders
Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage client expectations firmly, diplomatically, and proactively
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading enterprise Veeam deployment programs
Familiarity with Active Directory consolidation, identity modernization, or
M&A environments
Experience in managed services, professional services, or consulting
delivery models
Exposure to Azure migration / lift-and-shift programs
Experience coordinating global field services across distributed sites
ITIL or similar service management framework familiarity
Background in regulated or audit-sensitive environments
Schedule Flexibility
This role requires meaningful flexibility during active delivery phases.
After-hours coordination will be needed for:
global cutovers
overnight maintenance windows
server upgrade and migration events
critical delivery milestones during high-tempo phases
This is not a 24/7 on-call role, but candidates must be comfortable owning
escalations during scheduled change windows and critical execution periods.
